Already completed a Learn to Curl class?
Wondering what to do next?
Join us for a Learn to Curl 2 workshop!
In Learn to Curl 2, there is no classroom instruction–just 2 hours of ice time for you to practice and further hone your on-ice skills: delivery balance, release, and aim (or “hitting the broom”), along with sweeping techniques.
An experienced club member will be available to help offer feedback, guidance, and tips to help you develop your foundational curling skills. This workshop is less structured than the initial Learn to Curl class and more customizable to fit the participants’ needs and interests.
If at least 5 participants sign up for a given workshop, then everyone can play a short 3- to 4-end game along with the instructor(s) during the last hour.
Anyone who has completed a Learn to Curl class or has equivalent curling experience can sign up for a Learn to Curl 2. You do not need to be a club member!
The cost is $30 per person. The club will provide the equipment needed to participate. Please arrive on time and be ready to sign our waiver. We may also ask for your assistance in setting up and/or cleaning up the equipment and ice before or after the workshop.
Every participant (including chaperones for minors) must sign our participant release form or waiver. Please use these links to review the terms before arriving at the rink: adult version and minor version (note that the minor version must be signed by a parent or legal guardian).
***All participants must be 14 years or older. If you are under the age of 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian present to sign the minor waiver before you go onto the ice. Your parent or legal guardian must also be present while you are in attendance to chaperone. The OC Curling Club will not be responsible for underage curlers.***
